About Our Agency
Athens County Job and Family Services coordinates a wide range of programs for people of all ages in Athens County. We receive federal, state and local funding for our programs, and we serve thousands of people every day. Our programs provide assistance with food, cash, medical care, child care, child support, adult education, job training, job searches, resumes, care for senior citizens, transportation and numerous other areas.
We currently operate out of these four buildings:

The Work Station houses our adult education, job search assistance, job training and reentry programs. As the Ohio Means Jobs center for the county, it also provides office space for many of our community partner agencies and often hosts workshops and special events. The Work Station also has a computer lab that is open to the public and a board where local job openings are posted.
The Denver White Building
184 N. Lancaster St., Athens
Phone: 740- 592-4477 or 1-800-338-4484
The Denver White building serves as the location for many of our healthcare programs. The staff members in this office generally go out of the building to meet with clients, and it is rare for clients to need to visit this building. Clients more frequently will visit either the County Home Building or The Work Station.
