Athens County Emergency Food Line

Our agency works with the Athens County Food Pantry to help area residents who need food boxes.

Athens County residents can call the Emergency Food Line at 1-800-338-4484 to find out if they are eligible to receive a food box and to find the closest location to pick up a box of food. In many cases, area residents are able to pick up food boxes at our County Home Building on Ohio Rt. 13 between Athens and Chauncey.

Athens County residents are able to receive a food box every 30 days, if they meet the income guidelines for the program.

The Food Line is available from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Athens County residents can also call 211, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for additional information on emergency food programs and other services available to help area residents in need.

Athens County 211 has also prepared a Food Assistance and Food Pantry Resource Guide. That, and other resources guides, can be found here.
